We are looking for Class A and C drivers with clean driving records to operate our trucks and equipment. You will be driving newer company vehicles to/from the job site and performing tree work while there, working as a Grounds Person. You will assist the Grounds Crew in the safe operations of general tree care. A Plus Tree specializes in the removal, pruning (trimming), and health of trees in urban areas. You must have a passion for safety and a desire to work in an exciting environment. We are looking for candidates who have the capacity to learn new skills, including the use of equipment large and small, and be willing to become certified tree climbers! Responsibilities: Demonstrates and performs pre-climb tree risk inspection Uses industry-standard climbing techniques, climbing gear, and basic rigging Moves throughout a tree canopy without the use of climbing spurs, instruction, or supervision Makes proper cuts aloft in a tree while following all safety standards Safely and efficiently uses hand tools and power tools while aloft in a tree Works with a team while maintaining a good attitude and keeping pace with the crew Works a full day with the crew and is willing and able to handle all tasks of tree care within their expertise and qualifications All other duties as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications: Passionate about tree work, service, and people No experience is required, but previous experience as a tree grounds worker is a plus A team player who has a good attitude and keeps pace with the crew Outdoor enthusiast! You will be working outdoors come rain or shine Hard-working, reliable, honest, and able to report for work regularly and punctually Qualify as "Ground Technician 1" with basic industry skills and knowledge within the first 6 months of employment required Ability to lift 75 or more pounds.
