Validation Engineer

Job TitleResponsibilitiesTake ownership of defining and maintaining the DMUWork extensively in CATIA and serve as a Subject Matter Expert in utilizing its various utilitiesCollaborate with the design team with 3D digital mockups of products.Work with customers on Data Exchange Agreements (DEA) and approve updates.Ensure CAD model quality by checking for clashes, resolving issues, and maintaining accuracy.Participate in IPT (Integrated Product Team) and CCB (Change Control Board) meetings.Provide support, troubleshooting, and training on DMU processes.Work with IT and engineering teams to maintain and improve DMU tools and processes.Manage CAD conversions and data transfer between CAD systems and CATIA V5.Document and troubleshoot DMU/DPA issues, and collaborate with IT on improvements.Help create and model standard parts in 3D CATIA V5.Complete and submit DMU/DPA definitions, create standard hardware models, and support engineering changesQualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field, with 1-5 years of experience in Engineering, Drafting, or a similar field (Alternatively, 3 additional years of experience can substitute for a degree)Must have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with CATIA V5At least 3 years of experience in similar roleMust have experience working with Product Life-cycle Management (PLM) tools; ENOVIA preferred.Previous experience in Aerospace, Automotive, or similar industriesExperience managing technical business processes, including coordination of updates to both internal and external customersMust be Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)Working knowledge of GD&T symbols and requirements.A strong work ethic and a willingness to provide occasional late-night or weekend supportStrong project and time management skills
