This initiative includes the development of a hospital alongside a 50-bed skilled nursing facility to replace the existing Sublette Center. This project aims to address the county's healthcare needs with a focus on compassionate and high-quality care.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Billing Clerk located in Pinedale, WY. The Billing Clerk will be responsible for managing the billing process, preparing and issuing invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, coordinating financial transactions, and responding to inquiries regarding billing-related matters. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare and administrative teams.Role SpecificProcess insurance claims, payments, adjustments, and denialsVerify patient billing information and insurance eligibilityAssist with account reconciliation and month-end reportingMaintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirementsSupport audits and provide documentation as requestedCollaborate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve billing discrepancies Strong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to interpret contracts, fee schedules, and payer requirementsCustomer-service mindset when interacting with patients and payersAbility to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environmentDependable, self-motivated, and able to work independentlyQualificationsProficiency in Billing Process and InvoicingStrong understanding of Accounting and Finance principlesExcellent Communication skills, both written and verbalHigh attention to detail and time management skillsFamiliarity with healthcare billing systems and regulations is a plusProficiency in office and billing softwareHigh school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferredEperience:1–3 years of healthcare billing or revenue cycle experience preferredExperience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payersFamiliarity with Critical Access Hospital or Skilled Nursing Facility billing is a plus
