HII, Mission Technologies is looking for a motivated individual to fill the role of Technician 2 for their Syracuse, NY Manufacturing Operations. In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies. You will also support the daily activities of the production line and/or processing areas and help build long-term capability within the Manufacturing Organization.
Proficient in mechanical assembly and installation of electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies as required.
Working with other team members in assembly and integration of new and existing products.
Deliver work according to quality requirements and work instructions.
Adhere to processes and procedures to meet business and program objectives.
Analyzing and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
Experience using hand tools such as drills, torque wrenches, wire cutters, wire strippers & crimpers.
Identify and resolve tasks independently.
Follow ESD principles and safeguarding practices.
Ability to lift 40 pounds.
What we are looking for:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
3-5 years of related manufacturing experience.
Ability to read and understand assembly drawings, part lists, connection diagrams, schematics, engineering sketches.
Ability to work with standardized procedures for high repeatability in an advanced and connected environment.
IPC-610, IPC-620, and IPC-J-STD-001 certification or the ability to obtain certification.
Self-motivated and driven desire to succeed with minimal direction.
Ability to work both in a team and individually.
Must be a US Citizen. May be required to obtain a DoD secret level clearance.
