With approximately $3 billion in sales and 4,000 employees worldwide, we have a material presence in more than 20 countries.Position SummaryPerforms a wide variety of general accounting and analytical responsibilities that are critical to the operations of the Huber US Finance team and ensuring a timely financial close on a monthly basis. Collaborates with colleagues and accounting management to calculate and prepare recurring and non-recurring journal entries, record and reconcile intercompany activity, and completes various account reconciliations to ensure integrity of the balance sheet. The accountant also acts as a liaison to other Huber affiliates to ensure proper accounting of intercompany activity, respond to and prepare work papers for various audit inquires, and perform various accounting related tasks and ad hoc requests.Principal Duties & ResponsibilitiesGeneral Accounting and Month-end Close Prepare journal entries, including development of supporting documentation and calculationsPrepaids, accrued expenses, corporate overhead allocationsRevenue recognition analysis and deferral calculationsCustomer freight accruals, coordinate with Logistics Team to ensure completeness & accuracyT&E and Purchase Cards calculations and accrualsClose financial accounting sub-systems in OracleAccounts Payable and Accounts Receivables close, ensuring proper system cut-off and interfacePayroll accounting journal interface and related payroll accruals3rd party commission accounting interface and accrualsReconciliations, documentation, and analyticsPrepare reconciliations of bank activity and bank statementsTrack and ensure reconciliation with I/C partners, including factored receivables and shipment activityReview of trial balance for discrepancies and potential reclassificationsDraft account reconciliations, research, document and resolve reconciling itemsAudit And Other Responsibilities Prepare schedules and work papers for internal and external audit requestsLiaise and respond to audit questions and inquiriesCoordinate with Shared Transaction Services (STS) group to resolve Accounts Payable issues, coordinating with HEM plant accounting teams, as necessarySecondary back-up for cash application, when necessaryPerform various ad hoc projects and analysis, as necessarySpecialized/Technical Knowledge Or Required SkillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA or CPA track preferred2 to 4 years accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing organization or audit firmWorking knowledge of US GAAPExperience with an integrated ERP system, Oracle a plusProblem-solving skills and ability to work independently and with a teamEffective communication skills, written and verbalStrong attention to detail, organization, and ability to be flexible with work assignments and collaborationOur employees are our strongest asset, and their safety, health, and well-being is our highest priority.
