California Licensed General Counsel

A company is looking for a General Counsel (GC) who will serve as a key member of the leadership team, managing the legal function and providing strategic legal guidance. Key Responsibilities Serve as the General Counsel and legal advisor to the executive team Lead the in-house legal team and oversee all legal matters including compliance, contracts, and governance Provide strategic guidance on regulatory issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams on initiatives Required Qualifications 15+ years of legal experience, including senior in-house leadership JD from an accredited U.S. law school and active bar membership (California or New York preferred) Experience managing and growing legal teams Expertise in corporate law, regulatory compliance, and contract negotiation Strong knowledge of privacy, AI, and data use frameworks in tech companies
