SHAREPOINT ADMINISTRATOR

The SharePoint System Administrator provides support for the Enterprise SharePoint Environment. Duties includes provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. They will be responsible to ensure the operational health of the SharePoint environment, including security, availability, performance, interoperability, and reliability. The System Administrator will suggest, promote, and leverage published standards to minimize environment complexity and ensure compliance. They will also be required to continually improve operations through routine monitoring of system performance, review of system event and application log files, trend analysis, configuration, incident and problem management processes. Responsibilities and Duties Deep knowledge of SharePoint architecture design Installation, upgrades, patches, configuration of all SharePoint Services and Windows servers Managing and monitoring the overall SharePoint Farm health and functionality Monitoring SharePoint disk space usage through built-in SharePoint reports for each site collection Analyzing and reporting details surrounding SharePoint usage and activity Moving/copying sites Supporting network load balancing needs and ensuring correct operation (NLB) Regular review of the events and messages reported in Event Viewer and Performance Monitor Regular review, clean-up, management and configuration of SharePoint accounts and sites Regularly analyze SharePoint content and storage Monitoring SharePoint trends (e.g. site usage and growth, disk space usage and growth) Setting up alerts and enforcing policies Regularly auditing the SharePoint environment Identifying and reporting governance violations Checking for SharePoint patches and cumulative updates Required Skills and Abilities Experience in system administration of enterprise SharePoint environment (multi-server farms) including monitoring and troubleshooting Experience in MS PowerShell script Familiarity with troubleshooting using Windows event logs, ULS logs Understanding and experience working authentication types: SSO (SAML, WS-Fed), NTLM, Kerberos Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies related to SharePoint: Windows OS, AD, SQL, DNS, load balancing, reverse-proxy, SCOM Experience with Disaster Recovery Business intelligence in SharePoint (a plus) Knowledge of IT and web-based technology concepts Microsoft Office application suite Understanding of taxonomy Ability to learn new concepts very quickly Good communications skills Team Player Must be resourceful Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn is a must Windows Server components including the registry, file systems, services, and system management tools Education Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience preferred Microsoft SharePoint certification J-18808-Ljbffr
