We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture.SummaryThis role will partner with experienced Salespeople/Crop Advisors to support the sales effort and service activities and learn the Salesperson/Crop Advisor function. The Field Tech will participate in a personalized training program to develop competencies in selling appropriate product and supplies to industry customers, and to learn support operations through functions such as blending, delivery, equipment setup, and maintenance.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipating in and making sales calls to new and existing customers.As appropriate for the business: blending, delivery, delivery/transport and setup of equipment, equipment maintenance, inventory management, sales planning, customer data management, etc.As appropriate for the business: Soil sampling, plant sampling, product testing, product applications, and field scouting in production agriculture areas.Assisting experienced salespeople/crop advisors with crop care/turf care activities to also include computer input of application tracking, scouting reports, and other spreadsheets as needed.Participation in educational opportunities as identified and assigned by management.Disclaimer - The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
