100% remote, Full TimeTechnology Director – CommerceThe Technology Director (Commerce) will lead end-to-end solution delivery across the full lifecycle—from pre-sales and solution design through implementation and production deployment. This role is responsible for providing technical leadership across a portfolio of commerce initiatives, ensuring scalable architecture, high-quality delivery, and alignment with enterprise standards.This individual will act as a senior technical advisor, partnering with internal teams and stakeholders to design, architect, and deliver complex commerce solutions within enterprise environments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead technical solutioning across the full lifecycle, including pre-sales support, solution design, implementation, and deploymentProvide architectural oversight and ensure best practices across multiple concurrent initiativesGuide development teams and serve as the primary technical escalation pointPartner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, high-performing solutionsEvaluate technical feasibility, complexity, and level of effort, offering clear recommendations and alternativesSupport modernization efforts, including platform evolution and integration strategiesContribute to RFP responses, technical presentations, and solution strategy discussionsDrive alignment with enterprise architecture, integration patterns, and development standardsMentor team members and contribute to technical thought leadership initiativesPreferred Qualifications10+ years of experience in eCommerce architecture, development, and systems integrationHands-on experience with enterprise commerce platforms (e.g., SAP Commerce/Hybris or similar)Background in Java and object-oriented programmingExperience with headless architectures, APIs, and modern front-end frameworksFamiliarity with SaaS-based solutions and cloud environmentsExperience leading customer-facing delivery engagements
