For regulatory and licensure details, visit the NMLS Consumer Access Website.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time role for a Lock Desk Specialist based in Rockville, MD, with the option of in-office and/or remote work flexibility. The Lock Desk Specialist will be responsible for managing rate lock requests and extensions, monitoring pipeline activity, ensuring pricing accuracy, and maintaining compliance with investor and regulatory guidelines. The role involves collaborating closely with loan officers, underwriters, and secondary marketing teams to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of rate locks and pricing commitments. Additional tasks include reporting, addressing pricing discrepancies, and offering support for pricing scenarios.QualificationsStrong analytical and detail-oriented skills for managing and monitoring rate lock processes, pricing accuracy, and pipeline activity.Familiarity with mortgage industry guidelines, secondary marketing, and compliance regulations.Experience with loan origination systems, rate lock software, and related tools. Encompass and Optimal Blue experience is a plus.Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field, or equivalent work experience in mortgage lending or secondary marketing.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, is preferred.Previous experience in a lock desk or secondary marketing role is a plus.
