Job Title: Principal Sourcing SpecialistLocation: Lebanon, PA 17042 (100% Onsite)Travel: 10–20% (occasional visits to generation facilities)Duration: 6 months (possible extension)Pay Rate: $47.00 – $49.27/hour (W2)Work Environment: Office + Power Plant OperationsSchedule: Standard Business HoursJob OverviewThe Principal Sourcing Specialist is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities in a power generation environment. This includes sourcing critical equipment and services for plant operations, negotiating supplier agreements, and ensuring timely delivery of materials that support generation reliability and outage schedules.This role also contributes to complex sourcing initiatives, cost optimization strategies, and process improvements, while mentoring junior team members.Key ResponsibilitiesConvert purchase requisitions into purchase orders ensuring competitive pricing and contract complianceSource and evaluate suppliers for plant materials, MRO (maintenance, repair & operations), and capital projectsLead RFQs/RFPs, perform bid analysis, and negotiate pricing and commercial termsPartner with plant operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to understand procurement needsSupport sourcing for planned outages, emergency repairs, and major equipment replacementsCoordinate with strategic sourcing teams on long-term agreements and supplier strategiesMonitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and invoice resolutionMaintain and manage blanket agreements and pricing catalogsEnsure compliance with procurement policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirementsTrack cost savings, supplier KPIs, and procurement performance metricsDrive continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing and procurement processesProvide mentorship and guidance to junior sourcing/procurement staffRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent5+ years of procurement/sourcing experience (preferably in industrial or energy environments)Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract management skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required; Power BI preferred)Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field5–7 years of sourcing experience in energy, utilities, manufacturing, or heavy industryExperience with ERP systems such as SAPCPSM or equivalent supply chain certificationKey SkillsStrong stakeholder management across operations, engineering, and finance teamsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, plant-driven environmentAnalytical thinking with strong cost and data analysis capabilityExperience working cross-functionally in operational settingsStrong reporting, presentation, and communication skillsWorking ConditionsHybrid environment: office setting plus exposure to active power plant sitesMay require PPE and adherence to plant safety protocolsOccasional overtime during outages or critical projectsTravel (10–20%) to support multiple generation facilities
