Senior Electrical Engineer - Installation Design

As part of Emerson Power & Water Solutions' business, you will be based in our new headquarters, located in Cranberry Township, PA, and will join a diverse team of engineers who provide fully engineered control system solutions for power generation customers in North America. The team is part of the Thermal Power Solutions projects group and focuses on retrofits of existing plant control systems in the thermal power plant generation industry as well as the renewables industry. You will have unlimited opportunities to collaborate with peers on critical projects to upgrade existing plant control systems with industry-leading automation controls and instrumentation. If you are looking to bring your knowledge and expertise to an industry leader, we would love to hear from you!IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL:Interpret and revise electrical schematic drawingsConduct wire audit and field verification trips at customer sitesDesign control system hardware to meet customer needsDevelop and partition I/O databasesCreate drawing packages related to installation design solutionsSupervise installation sub-contractors at the site during installation and commissioning activitiesCollaborate with other business unitsManage multiple concurrent projects, efficientlyWHO YOU ARE: You build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations. You display a can-do attitude in good and bad times. You adjust communication to fit the audience and the message.FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent STEM degrees2+ years of related experienceExperience in Electrical design and migration of plant controlsKnowledge of plant instrumentation signal varieties and field wiringExperience with electrical control hardware selection and layoutAutoCAD or similar experience and expertiseComfortable traveling up to 30%Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the futureIndividuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including those with OPT or CPT), H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.
