The RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of hyperscale data center projects for a major owner-operator client across the United States. This role is responsible for overseeing large-scale, mission-critical developments from preconstruction through commissioning and final turnover.The ideal candidate brings a strong background in data center construction, deep understanding of critical systems (MEP), and a proven ability to lead complex projects in fast-paced, high-demand environments.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & ExecutionLead end-to-end delivery of hyperscale data center projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are metDevelop and implement project execution strategies aligned with client goals and operational requirementsChampion a safety-first culture and enforce site safety protocolsClient & Stakeholder ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for the Owner and key stakeholdersManage relationships with architects, engineers, consultants, general contractors, and trade partnersProvide clear, consistent reporting on project status, risks, and performanceScheduling & PlanningDevelop and manage detailed master project schedules (Primavera P6/MS Project)Drive coordination across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phasesIdentify critical path activities and proactively mitigate schedule risksCost & Commercial ManagementManage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reportingOversee contract administration, including subcontracts and purchase ordersLead change management processes and negotiate change ordersEnsure strong financial controls and cash flow managementProcurement & Supply ChainLead procurement of key trade packages, with a focus on MEP and mission-critical systemsManage long-lead equipment procurement (generators, UPS systems, switchgear, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units)Ensure alignment of procurement schedules with construction milestonesTechnical Oversight & CommissioningOversee installation and integration of critical infrastructure systemsEnsure compliance with hyperscale standards for uptime, redundancy (N, N+1, 2N), and resilienceLead commissioning efforts including Level 1–5 commissioning and integrated systems testing (IST)Coordinate with commissioning agents and operations teams for seamless turnoverRisk Management & ComplianceIdentify, assess, and mitigate project risks across all phasesEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA requirementsEscalate critical issues and develop mitigation strategiesProject Closeout & HandoverManage final delivery including punch list, closeout documentation, and turnover packagesEnsure delivery of as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties, and trainingSupport transition to operations teamsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field8–12+ years of experience in construction/project managementStrong experience delivering hyperscale or large-scale data center projectsDeep understanding of MEP systems and mission-critical infrastructureExperience with Primavera P6, MS Project, and construction management software platformsProven track record managing complex budgets ($100M+), schedules, and multi-stakeholder environmentsPreferred ExperienceExperience working with major US Contractors.Familiarity with fast-track construction and phased turnover environmentsExperience in commissioning and startup of mission-critical facilitiesCore CompetenciesStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagementAdvanced problem-solving and decision-making abilityHigh level of organization and attention to detailAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong commercial acumen and contract management expertiseKey AttributesResults-oriented with a strong sense of ownershipProactive and solutions-driven mindsetAbility to operate effectively under pressureCollaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across teams
