Leveling the Fields is a programs-focused nonprofit dedicated to increasing the number of girls in sports, recognizing the strong correlation between sports participation and future leadership roles. We are committed to breaking down barriers and providing universal access to sports, regardless of financial constraints, geographical limitations, or lack of options. Through our EmpowerPlay and PlayFit programs, we aim to get more girls into sports, keep them engaged, and equip them with the tools needed to thrive as future leaders.EmpowerPlayThe EmpowerPlay Program is a dynamic multi-sport after-school program aimed at empowering girls through athletics and is designed specifically for girls in 3rd through 5th grade. The program is run onsite at the elementary school. Over the nine weeks, participants learn the fundamentals of each sport while building teamwork and confidence. Our program is designed to foster self-acceptance, positive body image, and good sportsmanship through our unique empowerment journal. For girls in low-income areas, the program is offered at no cost to families.PlayFitThe PlayFit Enrichment Program is a weekly add-on designed to complement existing after-school programs, offering a fun and engaging way for 3rd-5th grade girls to stay active and build confidence. The program focuses on a single sport, allowing participants to deepen their skills, and is available in a 6-week or 8-week format. With on-site coaching and equipment provided, PlayFit makes it easy for girls to explore sports and develop teamwork and leadership skills. Our programs are fully funded at Title I schools and built to remove barriers of cost, access, and awareness.Role OverviewThe Collaborative Fundraising Coordinator supports and manages third-party and externally led fundraising efforts that benefit Leveling the Fields. These are fundraisers we do not plan or execute—but where we are the beneficiary—such as sorority philanthropy events, corporate giving initiatives, school-led fundraisers, community tournaments, and peer-to-peer campaigns.This role is relationship-driven, organized, and essential to expanding our fundraising reach without increasing staff or event workload. This role exists to empower others to fundraise for us.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact for all third-party fundraising partnersBuild and maintain relationships with community groups, sororities, schools, clubs, and corporate partners fundraising on our behalfProvide partners with approved messaging, branding, and basic fundraising guidanceCoordinate internally with Development and Marketing to ensure alignment and proper supportTrack all external fundraisers, contacts, timelines, and outcomesSupport donor acknowledgment and stewardship for third-party effortsIdeal CandidateStrong communicator who enjoys building relationshipsHighly organized and comfortable managing multiple partnershipsConfident representing a mission-driven organizationCollaborative and responsive across teamsExperience with community engagement, fundraising, or partnerships is a plus—but not requiredWhy This MattersThird-party fundraisers help Leveling the Fields grow sustainably—bringing in new supporters, new audiences, and new funding while strengthening community ownership of our mission.
