Auto Mechanic

Job Description Job SummaryWe are looking for a talented Auto Mechanic to join our growing company. You will be responsible for inspecting customer vehicles, diagnosing problems with the engine or other systems, perform routine maintenance, and complete necessary repairs. Candidates with more than one year of mechanic experience are preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. We pride ourselves in providing excellent customer service, so you must be friendly and passionate about giving our customers the best repair experience possible. Duties and ResponsibilitiesExamine cars based on customer requests or concernsPerform basic maintenance, including changing motor oil, rotating tires, and checking fluid levelsRepair or replace worn parts and systems, such as spark plugs, wheel bearings, brake pads, fuel systems, and sensorsFollow checklists to ensure thorough examination of all parts and systemsIdentify mechanical and electrical problems with both manual and computerized diagnostic equipmentPresent estimates to customers with an explanation of why repairs are necessaryPerform repairs thoroughly and accuratelyEnsure customer satisfaction at all times Requirements and QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent preferredCompletion of a postsecondary program in automotive service technology a plusASE certification requiredExperience with electronic systems maintenance and repairBasic computer skills requiredStrong communication skillsPhysical strength and stamina, and the ability to lift up to 50 poundsCompany DescriptionFamily owned and operated business with over 35 years in the auto industry.
