Cabinet FabricatorAre you interested in becoming a part of an innovative in-house maintenance facility working in our interiors department on private aircraft?Flexjet, an award-winning organization, is currently looking for an experienced Cabinet Fabricator to join our team!This position is located in Sanford, Florida.Duties & ResponsibilitiesManufacturing and fabricating cabinets from raw materials on aircraft including wood, honeycomb, fiberglass, sheet metal and veneersConstruct interior components to the customer's specificationsFabricates, fit, trims and installs interior components, galleys, bulk heads, doors, side ledges, tray and conference tablesRead and interpret blueprints and engineering drawingsInspect and inventory incoming cabinetry for existing damageProtect and tag all items using proper interior nomenclature for part identificationReads and interprets equipment manuals to complete all workCompletes all associated paperwork thoroughly and accurately for all work accomplishedDiagnoses problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustmentsSeeks methods to cross train to develop technical skills and business knowledgeAssist aircraft technicians when necessaryEnsure functional tests of all installed items is satisfactoryPerforms other duties as requiredAssist engineering staff and draftsmen to generate drawings and renderings Work with DER's to provide structural data when necessaryRequired SkillsHigh school graduate or equivalentMinimum of five (5) years' experience in aviation cabinetmaking and fabrication preferredWood working or wood finishing experience in a technical environmentCabinet installation experience including fit and trim preferredAbility to work in a team environmentRequires excellent communication skillsAbility to pass background check and achieve airport badgeWork EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions.
