Advanced Contracts Associate
Advanced Contracts Associate General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Advanced Contracts Associate. The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. A Contracts Associate supports the Contracts Manager and Contracts Specialist in managing the company's contractual agreements with customers. This involves assisting in the preparation and processing of contracts, as well as maintaining accurate contract records and databases. The Contracts Associate helps coordinate contract negotiations, ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, and assist in identifying and mitigating contract-related risks. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential for this role. Key responsibilities include assisting in contract or subcontract closeout activities, researching historical contracts or subcontracts data to identify any potential concern areas, establishing and maintaining customer contract or subcontract files, monitoring contract or subcontract document submittals to ensure timely and coordinated responses and compliance with terms and conditions, escalating customer or subcontractor issues, actions, and inquiries when warranted, preparing quotations or requests for proposals for products and services, responding to customer or subcontractor inquiries in support of assigned contract or subcontract area or customer base, supporting reviews for accuracy and completeness of Requests for Quotation (RFQs), customer or subcontractor quotations, and reports, and supporting higher-level contract or subcontract professionals and cross-functional project teams. Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include the ability to apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues, ability to build stable working relationships internally, ability to follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained, ability to develop professional concepts and knowledge of basic business principles, ability to work on problems of limited scope, solid written and verbal communication skills, familiarity with Government and commercial contract or subcontract requirements (e.g., FAR and DFARS), solid computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office) to support communications and business needs, solid interpersonal skills with management, customers, subcontractors, and peers, solid organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely completion of assignments, and solid collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively within a team, communicate openly with colleagues, and contribute to a positive and productive work environment. High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Salary range is USD $30.36 - USD $32.56/Hr.
