Senior Network Engineer – Palo Alto / OT InfrastructureLocation:Austin, TXPosition Overview:We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with deep Palo Alto firewall expertise to support a large-scale network modernization initiative within a critical infrastructure environment. The engineer will support core network infrastructure projects, firewall deployments, and network security initiatives associated with a large private LTE deployment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical professional capable of operating independently within a client environment while collaborating with remote subject matter experts and project stakeholders.Responsibilities:Deploy, configure, and support Palo Alto firewall environmentsAssist with implementation and optimization of core network infrastructureSupport private LTE network initiatives and related security requirementsImplement and maintain network security policies and segmentation strategiesWork directly with LCRA operations, networking, and cybersecurity teamsParticipate in firewall rule reviews and policy implementationSupport network modernization and infrastructure expansion projectsTroubleshoot complex network connectivity and security issuesCollaborate with remote network architects and subject matter expertsDocument network configurations, procedures, and technical recommendationsServe as a trusted technical resource onsite at LCRARequired Qualifications:7+ years of network engineering experienceHands-on Palo Alto firewall administration and deployment experienceExperience with enterprise network infrastructure and core networking technologiesStrong understanding of:Routing and switchingNetwork segmentationNetwork security principlesFirewall policy managementExperience working directly with business stakeholders and technical teamsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications:Palo Alto PCNSA or PCNSE certificationExperience with Palo Alto PanoramaExperience supporting Operational Technology (OT) environmentsPrivate LTE network experienceSD-WAN experienceUtility, energy, telecommunications, or critical infrastructure experienceExposure to network architecture and infrastructure design
