Job Description Job Title: CNC MachinistJob Description This role focuses on machining precision parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines in a high-quality, standards-driven environment. You will work from detailed blueprints and engineering documentation, apply advanced knowledge of GD&T, and use a variety of CNC and manual equipment to produce parts that meet strict specifications.Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to machine parts according to blueprints, engineering plans, and specifications.Interpret and work from blueprints, orthographic drawings, engineering plans, and materials specifications to determine machining requirements.Apply advanced knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure parts meet all dimensional and tolerance requirements.Use G-code and M-code programming to create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for efficient and accurate machining.Operate CNC lathes, CNC mills, and manual machines, including manual lathes and manual mills, to complete machining operations as required.Set up and operate machines with Fanuc, Tosnuc, Mazatrol, and Haas controls to produce high-quality components.Perform boring and other precision machining operations to meet tight tolerances and surface finish requirements.Monitor machine operations, inspect parts during and after machining, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.Perform preventative maintenance on CNC and manual equipment as needed to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.Adhere to ISO and AS9100 standards and follow all established procedures and work instructions.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company policies and industry standards.Collaborate with team members and engineering to resolve machining issues and improve processes where appropriate.Essential Skills At least 3 years of experience using G-code and M-code (G&M coding) for CNC programming and operation.Hands-on experience operating CNC lathes and CNC mills.Experience with manual machining, including manual lathes and manual mills.Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and orthographic drawings.Advanced knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).Experience with Fanuc controls.Experience with Tosnuc controls.Mazatrol experience for programming and/or operating Mazak-type equipment.Experience with Haas CNC machines.Strong understanding of machining parameters, materials, and tooling.Ability to perform boring and other precision machining operations.Ability to follow ISO and AS9100 standards and procedures.Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience operating or familiarity with machines such as Mazak, Haas, Hurco, Toshiba, and Shibaura.Experience working with both 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines.Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting machining and programming issues.Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, precise components.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.Why Work Here?Employees benefit from quarterly and annual bonuses tied to company performance, providing a direct connection between their contributions and rewards. You will work hands-on with CNC lathes, CNC mills, and manual machines, using controls such as Fanuc, Tosnuc, Mazatrol, and Haas. The facility operates under ISO and AS9100 standards, emphasizing quality, safety, and consistent processes.
