Physical Therapist Assistant

Golden Glades Nursing & Rehabilitation Center - We are looking to hire a Physical Therapist Assistant for a skilled nursing facility.Primary Function: To assist the Physical Therapist in provision of services to the residents in accordance with Florida State pratice standards in accordance with the American Physical Therapy Association.Qualifications:Education: Graduate of approved Physical Therapy Program Bachelor's, Master's or DPT programCertification: Florida State License & current Florida Registration CertificatePreferred Experience: 2 year experience, at least one in GeriatricsJob Duties:Performs tratment sessions as directed by PTDocuments &maintains services-related records in compliance with department requirements.Assists PT in developing treatment plans & techniques to implement plan.Implements & modifies treatment plans under PT supervision.Monitors Resident's response to treatment & reports oberservations to supervising therapist.Maintains daily statistics records in Net Health.Recommends to supervisor termination of services.Provide in-service education to nursing staff & family members as needed.Communicates effectively with other therapist & departments re: common issues (discharge plans & significant changes).Aware of state requirement Continuing Education need as per State Policy.Attends all department & interdisciplinary meetings as scheduled.Complies with HIPAA guidelines.
