Senior Accountant

A Wiss manufacturing client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team in Essex County, NJ. This position will be hands-on, managing full-cycle accounting + operations. This individual must be able to work fully onsite. The compensation range for this role is $90k - $110k.Key Responsibilities:Manage month-end close, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reportingMaintain and reconcile inventory, cost accounting, and overhead allocationsReview product profitability and inventory costing dataProcess payroll and maintain payroll accounting recordsOversee AP/AR functions including invoicing, customer payments, ACH/check processing, and vendor communicationsPerform bank reconciliations, cash flow tracking, and budgeting supportMaintain accounting records and reporting within QuickBooksSupport insurance renewals, audits, annual filings, and compliance reportingAnalyze operational and manufacturing cost data including freight, labor, and inventory adjustmentsPartner with leadership on financial analysis, reporting, and process improvementsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing or inventory-driven environmentsStrong understanding of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and month-end closeExperience with QuickBooks and ADP preferredProficiency in Excel and financial analysis/reportingAbility to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote environmentStrong communication skills and attention to detailExperience supporting small to mid-sized businesses preferred"Wiss is committed to fostering a welcoming community.
