Credit Analysts partner closely with commercial, legal, and leadership teams to evaluate counterparty risk, set and manage credit limits, and ensure the integrity of our credit portfolio. Collaboration, accountability, and attention to detail are essential to success.Your work will challenge you, and with our Core Values to guide you, you’ll quickly learn and grow with us.Credit Analyst SeniorResponsibilities/Expectations:Analyzes creditworthiness of new and existing counterparties and recommend credit limits; approve credit limits for new and existing counterparties up to Delegation of AuthorityProcesses issuance and amendments of collateral instrumentsMonitors credit exposure versus established credit limitsReviews and approves of counterparty contracts - new and amendmentsHandles counterparty inquiries related to internal and external credit exposureProduces reports on credit activities and operationsEducation/Years of Experience:Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business; a minimum of seven (7) years working in a Finance/Accounting/Business environmentPreferred: A minimum of ten (10) years oil and gas experience in a Finance/Accounting areaOther Requirements:Demonstrates outstanding organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priorityProficiency in Microsoft Office ApplicationsKeen analytical skills, crucial for problem solvingDetailed understanding of financial documents and ratio analysisAbility to present information and respond to questions from leaders and counterpartiesDedication to meet timelines and quickly adjust prioritiesMay be required to work overtime, including possibly working extended hours, weekends, and holidays as the need arisesCredit Analyst III Responsibilities/Expectations: Establishes credit limits for new and existing counterpartiesProcesses issuance and amendments of collateral instrumentsReviews A/R for counterparties and monitors credit exposureReviews and approves counterparty contracts; handles counterparty inquiriesProduces reports of credit activities and operationsOther duties as assignedEducation/Years of Experience: Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business; a minimum of five (5) years of experience working in Finance/Accounting/BusinessPreferred: Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business; a minimum of seven (7) years of Finance or Accounting experience in the oil and gas industryPreferred: CPAOther Requirements:Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priorityProficiency in Microsoft Applications and PC skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detailDetailed understanding of financial documents and ratio analysisAbility to present information and respond to questions from management and counterpartiesComfortable meeting deadlines and changing prioritiesAble to mentor employees and provide feedback on operational improvementsMay be required to work overtime, including possibly working extended hours, weekends, and holidays as the need arisesCredit Analyst II Responsibilities/Expectations:Coordinates review of credit terms within counterparty agreements and provides recommendationsIssues letters of credit and guarantees according to company guidelinesDevelops positive relationships with internal/external counterpartiesMakes decisions regarding credit limits and resolves sophisticated credit problems within company guidelinesMay mentor othersProduces reports on credit activities/operations on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basisPerforming Counterparty exposure management using an enterprise-wide Credit SystemWorking with external customers to negotiate credit terms of commercial contracts and to negotiate, implement, and manage credit support instrumentsPerforming financial modeling to support establishment of Credit LimitsRepresenting Williams at conferencesOther duties as assignedEducation/Years of Experience:Required: Bachelor’s degree business, finance or accounting and minimum of three (3) years working in an accounting/finance environmentPreferred: A minimum of five (5) years oil and gas experience in an accounting/finance areaOther Requirements: Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priorityProficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skillsDetailed understanding of finance and accounting principles, financial documents and ratio analysisMay be required to work overtime, including possibly working extended hours, weekends, and holidays as the need arises, Responsible for annual credit reviews of counterparties, spreading financial statements and performing counterparty research. The Analyst will make decisions within their assigned authority limits and make recommendations on requests above their authority limit. Also will review new and existing agreements for creditworthiness standards and make recommendations accordingly. In addition, collateral will be reviewed and maintained according to company standards.
