The pharmacist will be responsible for providing safe, accurate, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care and medication distribution while collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately interpret physician orders and dispense medicationsReview patient medical and medication profiles for interactions, contraindications, allergies, and adverse reactionsMonitor drug therapy for clinical appropriateness and cost-effectivenessCommunicate recommendations and concerns to prescribing providersPrepare, compound, dispense, and sell prescriptions and pharmacy-related productsProvide patient counseling and medication educationAdminister immunizationsMaintain records of controlled substancesMonitor proper storage, handling, and distribution of medicationsDocument and report medication errors per policySupport and oversee pharmacy staff activities as directedEnsure compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory pharmacy lawsRecommend workflow and process improvements to enhance efficiencyMaintain regular attendance and professional conductPerform additional duties as assignedQualifications & RequirementsRequired:Graduate of an accredited School of PharmacyActive Pharmacist License in the State of IowaMinimum 2 years of pharmacist experienceBLS/BCLS certificationImmunization certificationPreferred:Retail or hospital-based retail pharmacy experienceStrong customer service and patient-facing communication skillsSkills & CompetenciesExcellent verbal and written communicationStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to handle confidential and sensitive informationHigh attention to detail and accuracyProfessional demeanor and patient-centered approachAdditional InformationEMR: EPICHoliday Coverage: Not requiredAbout Lancesoft:LanceSoft's mission is to establish global cross-culture human connections that further the careers of our employees and strengthens the businesses of our clients.
