Sr. DataStage Developer

LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH DATASTAGE EXPERIENCE AND ALSO PEOPLESOFT CLIENT IS IN THE PROGRESS OF MOVING FROM PEOPLESOFT TO ORACLE CLOUD/Fusion We are seeking a talented ETL and BI Data Engineer to play a key role in a PeopleSoft ERP implementation project. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing ETL processes, maintaining data integrity, and supporting Business Intelligence (BI) needs to ensure successful data migration and analytics readiness. Responsibilities Design and implement ETL processes to load data into the Data Warehouse with a focus on performance and accuracy. Develop data pipelines using IBM DataStage and other ETL tools to support data integration. Validate data accuracy and completeness post-migration to ensure successful transfer. Maintain ERP Data Warehouse and Ascential/Datastage environments. Design and develop data models, data mart tables, and data mapping documents. Analyze and gather BI requirements from stakeholders and align solutions with business objectives. Support BI team members in developing reports, dashboards, and widgets using BI tools. Provide production support for ETL processes and fulfill ad hoc data requests using SQL queries. Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to understand data needs. Document specifications, create user guides, and support lifecycle activities from development to production. Ensure compliance with data governance, security protocols, and regulations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or a related field. Proven experience in data migration projects, particularly from PeopleSoft to a cloud-based Data Warehouse. Proficiency in SQL and ETL tools, particularly IBM DataStage. Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and BI tools. Familiarity with PeopleSoft FSCM, HCM, ELM, or EPM. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Skills Experience with cloud-based Data Warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Oracle FDIP, Amazon Redshift). Relevant certifications in data management or ETL tools. Experience with Maximo, NextFare, or Trapeze systems. 3+ years of hands-on experience with IBM DataStage.
