The Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing family law cases from inception through resolution. This role requires a combination of litigation skills, client relationship management, and the ability to handle emotionally complex situations with professionalism and care.Responsibilities Independently manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and related domestic issues Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, depositions, and other legal proceedings Draft, review, and negotiate pleadings, motions, agreements, and other legal documents Conduct legal research and develop case strategies aligned with client objectives Advise clients on legal rights, options, and risk factors throughout the lifecycle of a case Maintain consistent communication with clients, ensuring a high level of service and responsivenessCollaborate with internal team members to drive case progress and favorable outcomesQualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in North Carolina (required) 2+ years of experience practicing family law or domestic relations Strong courtroom presence and litigation experience preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment High level of professionalism, empathy, and client service orientationBenefits Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience) Performance-based bonus structure 100% employer-paid medical insurance Dental and vision coverage Generous paid time off (PTO) Auto allowance Cell phone reimbursement
