Technician/Attendant - Residential - Lewisburg TNJOB TITLE: Technician/Attendant- Residential FT,PT DEPT: LewisburgSCHEDULE: 1st, 2nd Shift with rotating weekends SALARY: D.O.E.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Represents the entire team while on duty and understands the need for consistency within the team as a whole.The employee understands and practices Universal Precautions at all timesAnswers the telephone, takes messages and/or sends messages to individual staff voice mailbox (at the discretion of the caller)Completes pre-admission screening forms on prospective clients calling after hoursProvides for the confidentiality of the individual client in treatment. Prior to giving out any information to any caller about any client, checks the client database system for an Authorized Release of Information for that particular caller from the specific client. Also, ensures that only authorized information is givenAssists clients with any supplies or equipment, linen, books, etcAssists client in becoming accustomed to the facility routine and encourages them to participate in treatment, social and recreational activities to promote rehabilitationEnforces all house rules while on dutyInspects common areas and ensures they are maintained each shift. This includes rest rooms, staging room, linen closet, laundry facilities, hallways, etcLocks all outside doors and provides night time security watch during non-business hoursWork a flexible schedule as needed for site coverage.Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.Good communication skills.Experience in behavioral health, recovery, or residential care preferred.QUALIFICATIONSSome computer skills.
