Senior Account Manager (Captive Insurance)
This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of an increasingly complex portfolio of captive insurance clients, including risk retention groups, insurance reciprocal exchanges and/or other complex structures, the number of which varies depending on complexity of the accounts, as well as serving as a mentor and resource to Staff Accountants. The Senior Account Executive will demonstrate ability to work independently, present financial statements at board meetings, serve as a mentor and resource to staff, as well as ability to train and lead. Assist company by adhering to and maintaining standards in accordance with ISMS policy and procedure.Duties may include, but are not limited to:Serve as principal client liaisonSupervise, train, mentor and serve as a resource to Staff AccountantsPreparation of periodic financial statement packages tailored to individual client needs and completion of self-reviewPreparation of quarterly and annual NAIC statementsPreparation of Annual Statement/Report start to finish, including RRGs.Preparation of written analysis of financial statementsPlanning and coordination of annual audit and actuarial reviewMaintain up to date knowledge of accounting, insurance and regulatory issues affecting captivesReview of premium tax returnsMonitor compliance with regulations and advise clients of changes as necessaryPreparation of regulatory correspondence, to include monitoring any changes in business planAct as liaison with captive’s legal, actuarial, audit and other service providersIndependent preparation and presentation of materials at Board MeetingsCoordination and planning of annual (or more frequent) Board MeetingsEnsure Account Manager, Staff Accountant and/or President are copied on all relevant correspondenceInvolvement in emerging and technical issues and serving as a resource for dissemination of this informationAbility to review complex financial statement packages and prepare accompanying supervisory checklistMaintain client confidentialityAccountabilitiesResponsible for the delivery of high-quality service, ensuring that all client service standards are met for portfolio of captive clientsResponsible for adherence to established regulatory, company and client timelines and deadlinesResponsible for following established guidelines, checklists and procedures, ensuring that managed companies remain compliant and internal controls are followed.
