Sr. Software Engineer

Overview In this role you will contribute to designing and delivering scalable backend and platform solutions for cloud-based applications. You’ll work with cross-functional teams in Chicago to build services, APIs, and infrastructure, turning complex concepts into reliable implementations. You will shape greenfield initiatives and help automate provisioning and deployment using cloud-native, IaC practices. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain backend applications, platform components, and service integrations using C#, .NET, Python, Node.js, and related tools.Design and implement secure, scalable APIs and distributed services aligned with cloud-native and microservices principles.Build solutions from the ground up for greenfield initiatives, covering planning, development, deployment, and optimization.Automate provisioning and release processes through Infrastructure as Code in cloud environments and platform services.Collaborate with architects and engineering leads to translate strategies into production-ready solutions.Support the setup and improvement of cloud infrastructure, backend systems, and platform capabilities for performance and reliability.Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and best practices across the development lifecycle.Explore emerging tools and frameworks, including AI-enabled development technologies when relevant.
