Operations Engineering – Electrical Engineer

Job Title: Operations Engineering – Electrical Engineer QUALIFICATIONS: · Minimum of five (5) years of experience in construction or facility maintenance with a focus on electrical engineering. · Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. · Completion of training courses, including WMGT 417, WMGT 231, WENG 200, and WENG 400. · Familiarity with Agency Directed PAD 12-03 and Plan guidelines and requirements. · Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, standards, and regulations. · Experience in utilities management and optimizing power supply. · Proficiency in electrical engineering software and tools. · Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. · Effective communication and interpersonal skills. · Project management experience and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. · Strong attention to detail and accuracy in electrical design and analysis. · Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Electrical Operations Management: Oversee and manage electrical operations within the construction or facility maintenance setting. Ensure the efficient and effective functioning of electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions. Develop and implement maintenance and repair plans to minimize downtime and ensure reliable electrical supply. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support operational needs. · Utilities Management: Manage utilities, including AMP (Auxiliary Power) and Electrical Sub-AMP (Sub-Auxiliary Power). Monitor utility consumption, analyze trends, and implement energy-saving measures. Collaborate with utility providers to ensure the availability and reliability of power supply. Optimize utility systems to minimize costs while maintaining operational requirements. Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in utilities management. · Electrical Engineering: Apply electrical engineering principles and practices to evaluate, design, and implement electrical systems. Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. Develop electrical design plans, specifications, and drawings. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate electrical systems into overall facility designs. Provide technical expertise and guidance on electrical engineering matters. · Compliance and Documentation: Adhere to Agency Directed PAD 12-03 and PPlan guidelines and requirements. Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations. Maintain accurate documentation, including drawings, specifications, equipment records, and maintenance logs. Support internal and external audits and inspections related to electrical systems. Stay informed about changes in electrical codes, regulations, and industry practices. · Project Management: Manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion. Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules. Coordinate and oversee the work of contractors, technicians, and other project team members. Monitor project progress, track expenses, and ensure timely delivery of project objectives. Communicate project updates and outcomes to stakeholders. Why FAR Group?
