The Business Banking Relationship Manager is also responsible for contributing to the profitability and growth of SYB Retail/Business Banking by building, developing, expanding client relationships with Business customers (defined as companies with annual revenues of up to $5 million), and serving Business Banking customers in a highly consultative, needs-based manner.Organizational Duties And ResponsibilitiesSupports the mission, vision and philosophy of the Bank. Complies willingly with all organizational policies and procedures.Supports all functions that maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesDevelop and utilize formal calling plans to target new business and expand existing Business Banking Clients (75%)Perform Credit analysis and portfolio management for assigned portfolio of business banking relationships for new and existing clientsAs part of portfolio management, maintain credit quality and process renewals and past dues in a timely mannerServe as the Business Banking “expert” for assigned Branch Managers located within an assigned territoryCreate a partnership with Branch Managers to build and expand relationships with the area businessesAssist with analyzing business financial statements, identifying strengths and weaknesses of loan requestsOther FunctionsActively cross-sell appropriate SYB Banking products to new and existing customersWorking ConditionsOffice setting, but much time spent traveling between assigned branches and potential customer places of businessMinimum Job RequirementsEducation: College degree required (preferably in area of business, finance, or accounting)Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in a banking relationship manager type role requiredSpecific SkillsStrong sales, credit underwriting, relationship management, business development, and analytical skills requiredUnderstand and articulate Business Banking strategies and philosophyThorough level of lending skills requiredPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
