In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.Job DescriptionWhat you will be doingYears Of Experience RequiredMinimum one year in a customer service or any related work/school environment where productivity and critical thinking is required.Years Of Experience PreferredLaw enforcement or hospital security experience highly desirable. Ability to communicate with people at all levels, be culturally competent and demonstrate good judgment and critical thinking. Ability to write reports and perform basic data entry.PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONSIntermittent physical exertion Sitting or standing in the same location, as well as the ability to react quickly and/or physically exert as urgent/emergent situations warrant - such as responding to emergencies, walking/running, assisting patients in/out of cars and wheelchairs, climbing stairs and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (50 lbs. or more) Examples: traversing the hospital campus to perform security checks, escorting patients/visitors/staff, and assisting with evacuation of patients using Emergency Management Equipment.Position & Unit AccountabilitiesGreet patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism, empathy, and a customer‑first attitude.Provide directions, escort assistance, and general information to support a positive hospital experience.Assist patients and families with mobility needs, transportation inquiries, and wayfinding throughout the facility.Maintain a visible, approachable presence in lobbies, entrances, and public areas to proactively assist guests.De‑escalate emotionally charged situations using tact, patience, and service‑oriented communication.Monitor entrances, patient care areas, and restricted zones to ensure compliance with hospital access policies.Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols of the campus, identifying safety hazards or suspicious activity.Respond promptly to emergencies, codes, and incidents—providing support alongside clinical and operational teams.Document all incidents clearly and accurately in security reports or digital systems.Support staff with behavioral health patients or visitors exhibiting disruptive behavior, using non‑violent crisis intervention techniques.Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary. Ability to remain calm, professional, and courteous in high‑stress situations. Certification in CPI, MOAB, or other de‑escalation programs (or willingness to obtain). Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and respond rapidly to urgent situations. Team CollaborationExperience working in coordinated environments—healthcare, public safety, hotel/concierge teams, or customer‑service departments. Technology ProficiencyFamiliarity with access control systems, CCTV, incident‑reporting software, visitor management platforms, or mobile communication tools.
