The Mechanic will perform routine and complex maintenance on heavy equipment and power systems, including inspections, diagnostics, and repairs. Day-to-day tasks include identifying mechanical issues, troubleshooting system failures, replacing or rebuilding components, and performing preventive maintenance to extend equipment life. The role involves maintaining accurate service records, following safety and quality procedures, and collaborating with supervisors and other technicians to prioritize work orders. The Mechanic is expected to keep the work area organized, use tools and equipment correctly, and support continuous improvement of maintenance processes.Qualifications Strong skills in Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for mechanical and industrial equipment.Experience with Preventive Maintenance programs, including routine inspections and scheduled servicing.Hands-on experience working with Heavy Equipment, including disassembly, assembly, and component replacement.Proficiency in Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.Knowledge of safety regulations and safe work practices in industrial and shop environments.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, service manuals, and OEM specifications.Relevant technical training or certification in mechanics, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred.Prior experience as a mechanic or maintenance technician in industrial, marine, or power systems environments is beneficial.Physical ability to lift heavy parts, work in varied positions, and operate tools and equipment safely.Reliable work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
