As a substitute teacher you serve a vitally important function in the education of our students.Substitute teachers are responsible for following lesson plans, supervising students, maintaining a classroom environment conducive to learning and respectful of the needs of students.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree required **(see below)Connecticut teaching certificate preferredHigh School Diploma or Equivalent requiredMust be age 18 or olderEnthusiasm for teaching and learning **For educators who do not have a bachelor's degree, a district can apply for a waiver using the following steps: The district may submit an online application detailing the applicant's experience with school-age children.Pay:The daily rate for substitute teachers is $130.
