Engineering Scheduler

Aid with initial process development / Manage Engineering P6 Schedule / Backfill Lead Scheduler / Support TAR execution as support SchedulerAs an Engineering Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive schedules for engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and efficient resource allocation. Your role will involve coordinating with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to establish project timelines, identify critical milestones, and track progress against established schedules. Your expertise in scheduling tools and project management methodologies will be essential in optimizing project delivery and resource utilization.Key Responsibilities:Schedule Development:Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to develop project schedules, incorporating key milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.Utilize scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) to create detailed project schedules, considering resource availability, constraints, and critical paths.Resource Allocation:Coordinate with department managers to allocate resources (e.g., engineers, equipment, materials) based on project requirements and schedule constraints.Optimize resource utilization to maximize productivity and minimize project duration, balancing workload across multiple projects and teams.Schedule Monitoring and Tracking:Monitor project progress against established schedules, identifying deviations, risks, and potential delays.Implement schedule tracking mechanisms to capture actual progress, update schedules accordingly, and forecast project completion dates.Schedule Analysis and Reporting:Conduct schedule analysis to identify schedule variances, critical paths, and areas of potential schedule compression or optimization.Generate regular progress reports and performance metrics, communicating schedule status, milestones achieved, and upcoming tasks to project stakeholders.Risk Management:Identify schedule-related risks and constraints that may impact project timelines, collaborating with project teams to develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.Anticipate and resolve scheduling conflicts or resource constraints proactively to minimize project delays and disruptions.Stakeholder Communication:Facilitate regular meetings with project managers, engineering teams, and stakeholders to review schedule status, discuss upcoming milestones, and address schedule-related issues.Provide timely updates and communicate changes to project schedules, ensuring alignment and buy-in from all stakeholders.Continuous Improvement:Evaluate and refine scheduling processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.Seek opportunities to streamline workflows, automate routine tasks, and implement best practices in engineering scheduling.
