Overview In this role you drive process design and assembly activities to optimize cost, quality, and safety. You will work across the supplier base and internal teams to implement efficient, compliant manufacturing processes. You lead PFMEA/Control Plan and flow-chart development, supervise work instructions, and promote lean practices. You influence product development through DFM/A and support supplier qualification and quotations. This position offers hands-on, impact-driven work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. ResponsibilitiesLead PFMEA/Control Plan creation and updates with supplier participationCreate or supervise assembly/process flow charts for manufacturing or reworkCreate or supervise Work Instructions for manufacturing or reworkCreate or supervise Control Plans for manufacturing or reworkEnsure assembly processes follow lean manufacturing principles (Value Stream Mapping, Five S, Kanban, poka-yoke)Identify process improvements with cost-benefit analysis for senior evaluationSupport Quality in supplier qualification by evaluating manufacturing capabilitiesProvide input for tooling, assembly and manufacturing test equipment estimates for quotationsConduct workflow analysis and recommend material handling and shop layout improvementsEstablish and maintain work standards for product costing and productivityCreate Engineering Change Notices related to process improvements Key requirementsUniversity Degree in EngineeringProject Management skills and experience (or equivalent)Knowledge/experience in PFMEA techniquesKnowledge/experience in Lean Manufacturing TechniquesExperience in participating in a product development team from inception to manufacturing launch with DFM/AKnowledge of TS16949 and ISO14001 requirementsKnowledge and execution experience of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process FlowProven ability to create and execute project plans achieving targetsExcellent planning and organizational skillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to produce succinct reports/presentations on project statusTenacious, self-directed with strong leadership for meetingsQuality Control background beneficial (problem solving/root cause)Hands-on technical background with analytical reasoningInterest in skills development and continuous improvementStrong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to manage multiple projects and work with little supervisionKnowledge/experience in Statistical Process ControlExperience in design for assembly and manufacturingKnowledge of Musculoskeletal Injury PreventionMS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong CAD skillsSuperior analytical capabilitiesProblem-solving and decision-makingMechanical inclinationEffective verbal and written communicationLeadershipTime managementPFMEAControl PlansLean Manufacturing Techniques
