General Manager
Compensation: $115,000–$130,000 base (DOE)
A well-capitalized real estate owner/operator is seeking a General Manager to lead day-to-day operations of a luxury multifamily property in Brooklyn, NY. Reporting to the Vice President of Property Operations, this role oversees property operations, leasing, and financial performance.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who can drive results, exceed budget goals, and deliver an exceptional resident experience. This is a full‑time, in‑person role.
The General Manager is responsible for overall property performance, including:
Financial oversight, budgeting, and variance reporting
Leasing, marketing strategy, and occupancy performance
Leadership and supervision of on‑site staff
Vendor and service contract negotiation and oversight
Resident relations and customer service excellence
Leasing activity, renewals, tours, and vacancy management
Broker, vendor, and industry partner relationships
Market analysis, competitive shopping, and reporting
Oversight of marketing campaigns, websites, and listings
Vendor coordination and resident issue resolution
Qualifications
3+ years of property management and leasing leadership experience, preferably in luxury multifamily
Strong operational, financial, and market knowledge
Proven ability to lead teams and deliver high resident satisfaction
Comfortable in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment
Weekend availability as needed
Experience with Yardi and/or On‑Site preferred
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Detail‑oriented with a positive, proactive attitude
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
