Big-D Construction, has an opportunity for an Electrical Superintendent to join our Mission Critical team based in Salt Lake City, UT.Experience/Training: Bachelor's degree or 7 to 10 years of related experience working on Mission Critical commercial construction projects; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with MEP scopesDuties, Responsibilities and Expectations:Provide direction and leadership on MEP scope(s) on data center/mission critical projectsManage safety, quality, schedule, production, logistics and coordinationRepresents the company in meetings and interfaces with all project stakeholdersCoordinates and directs all subcontractor and vendorsWorks with the project team to establish goals and develop accountabilityAssumes responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the projectVerifies to ensure subcontractor completes the assigned scope of workCritical Skills:Extensive knowledge of established construction practices, procedures, and techniques as well as applicable local, state and federal building codes.Familiarity with a wide range of equipment and tools and proficiency in skilled construction, and repair tasks.Possess strong computer skills; proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook.Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and sequencing, and cost control.Knowledge of general survey and layout practices.Ensure all installations meet quality and electrical code standardsAbility to interact and communicate effectively with project team, customers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and employees at all levels of the organization.Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Ability to effectively lead and manage teams.Thorough and attentive to details; extremely organized and able to prioritize and multitask.Ability to proactively plan and identify risks to meet or exceed the deadline while meeting the safety requirements, productivity goals, sustainability goals and quality.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in the workplace.Ability to read, understand, and red-line work orders, budget, change orders, safety standards, plans specifications, shop drawings, submittals, manufacturer's literature.Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, memos, blue prints, contract documents and specifications, and CPM schedules.Possess strong customer service skills.Regular, timely, and predictable attendance is required for this position.BENEFITS: 100% Medical & Dental premiums paid for Health Savings Account (HSA) with Employer Contribution PTO & Holidays 401k with match Life Insurance & Disability paid for Supplemental Benefits available Company Vehicle
