Precision Machine Operator

About the Role As a Precision Machine Operator, you will play a vital role in our high-mix production environment by transforming raw materials into high-precision components. You will leverage your expertise in CNC milling and turning to ensure every part meets rigorous quality standards while contributing to continuous process improvements. Responsibilities Interpret complex blueprints and technical job orders to determine optimal machining sequences, tooling, and feed rates. Execute precise setups for CNC lathes and milling centers, including fixture alignment and tool calibration. Drive operational efficiency by collaborating with engineering teams to refine and optimize CNC programs. Maintain high output quality by performing regular inspections using calibrated precision gauges. Manage the full lifecycle of a part, from initial work-piece positioning to final de-burring and finishing. Ensure machine reliability through proactive monitoring and adjustment of cutting speeds and depths. Qualifications Required Skills 6-12 months of hands-on experience operating CNC or conventional machine tools. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and geometric tolerances. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments to verify part specifications. Strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to maintaining a safe, organized workspace. Preferred Skills Associate’s degree in Machine Tool Technology or a related technical field. Experience working in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment. Familiarity with advanced CNC programming or editing software.
