Wordpress Website Developer

Job Description We are looking for a passionate WordPress Web Developer to join our team! As a WordPress Developer at Pixelstrike, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating custom WordPress themes and implementing plugins. We are expecting you to have a strong understanding of the latest industry trends, WordPress Codex, and WordPress Templating.Everything at Pixelstrike is built from scratch. We follow an agency development process by custom-building our themes, working with our client sites on a staging server, and maintaining them post-launch.WordPress Developer Requirements And Qualifications: Comfortable with all aspects of WordPress website creation from start to finish, including being handed completed Figma design files, building the site and functionality to specifications, testing, setting up forms, recommending plugins, launching, and troubleshooting. Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery Experience designing and developing responsive WordPress Templates Strong understanding of PHP templating development and how to build with WordPress Codex Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (setting up field groups, building a template with the fields) Experience with Custom Post Types and creating custom WordPress loops Experience providing appropriate specs for hosting requirements and setting up or moving websites to a new hosting provider. Understanding of basic SEO and can implement basic on-page SEO strategies (such as Schema markup, metadata, etc.) Strong understanding of accessibility and ADA compliance as it relates to building an accessible website. Experience setting up and managing SMTP to ensure website email deliverability Experience using, setting up, and managing CDNs Ability to work with common builders such as Elementor, Divi, YooTheme, etc. Ability to build custom websites without a builder, using ACF to make content updates easy for our clients. Knowledge of e-commerce setup on Wordpress using WooCommerce or similar, including payment processing configuration, testing, and troubleshooting. Available during standard business hours, 9am-5pm EST Extreme attention to detail. Offering 15-20 hours a week.
