Software EngineerContract to hireDay to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:Big data application doing some sophisticated joins and machine learning on large streams of dataHave a high premium on data quality etc. since they do support regulatory work etc.Primarily will be doing hands-on coding and some basic DevOps, architecture skills nice to haveWhat are the top must-have technologies/required experience for the position?AWS (EC2, Lambda, RDS, etc.)Kafka or similar (they have their own platform they use – more knowledge of concepts versus tool)Applications are developed in Apache Spark (using version)o Okay considering Java, Python Spark and teaching but that'd be a nice to haveBasic DevOps (CI/CD pipeline configuration, Jenkins etc.)Preferred qualifications:Hadoop/Map ReduceEMR/deploying or distributing clustersYears of experience: 4+ from an enterprise levelRequired Skills: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Java or Apache Spark, Kafka, Dev ops Basic Qualification: Additional Skills: Background Check: Yes Drug Screen: Yes Notes: Upon offer, it is required to show consultants W2 take home pay in the Exh A.
