Membrane Application EngineerWe are seeking a high-impact Membrane Application Engineer with proven experience designing and delivering complete water treatment systems—not just components. This role is responsible for translating water quality challenges into fully engineered, field-deployable solutions, with ownership from water-in characterization through water-out performance delivery.This is a hands-on, application-focused role requiring both process design expertise and real-world system experience, particularly with OEM-integrated treatment systems.The position serves as a key technical resource supporting sales, project execution, manufacturing, and field service teams. Responsibilities include evaluating water chemistry, developing treatment strategies, preparing technical proposals, supporting pilot studies, and providing startup and commissioning support.What You Will DoEnd-to-End System DesignLead full-scope process design from:Raw water characterization and risk assessmentPretreatment strategy (media filtration, softening, chemical dosing)Membrane system design and integrationFinal polishing and compliance to water quality specsDesign complete treatment trains including:Ion exchange (softeners, demin systems)Ultrafiltration (UF), Microfiltration (MF)Reverse Osmosis (RO), Nanofiltration (NF)Post-treatment (UV, polishing, storage)Membrane Technology LeadershipServe as the technical authority on membrane systems, including:Membrane selection across OEM vendorsPerformance modeling and scaling projectionsFouling risk assessment (organic, inorganic, biological)Optimize system performance by integrating:Pretreatment strategiesChemical programs (antiscalants, biocides, cleaners)Cleaning (CIP) protocolsApplication & Field ExecutionTranslate designs into practical, installable systems that perform in real-world conditionsSupport:System commissioning and startupPerformance troubleshooting and optimizationRoot cause analysis for fouling, scaling, and failure eventsPartner closely with engineering, field service, and commercial teams to ensure successful project deliveryEngineering & Commercial ImpactDeliver cost-effective, reliable, and scalable solutions for industrial and municipal customersSupport proposal development, system sizing, and technical justificationProvide expertise in customer-facing discussions and solution positioningRequired Experience3–5+ years of experience designing and applying water treatment systems in real-world environmentsProven experience with complete system integration, not just individual componentsStrong working knowledge of: RO, UF, NF, MF membrane systemsPretreatment processes and system dependenciesIon exchange and high-purity water systemsDemonstrated ability to interpret water chemistry and translate into engineered designsPreferred BackgroundExperience with OEM system integrators or packaged system providersHands-on involvement in startup, commissioning, or field troubleshootingFamiliarity with industrial applications such as:Food & beveragePower / boiler systemsManufacturing or reuse / wastewaterTechnical Skill SetProcess design and system sizingMembrane modeling toolsStrong understanding of fouling, scaling, and chemical control strategiesAbility to balance performance, cost, and operabilitySound like a fit for you?If yes, jump aboard, and apply today.A Little About UsApplying for a new job is a little like entering uncharted territory.
