Application Security Engineer (Entry-Level) We’re looking for an early-career Application Security Engineer to join a growing team focused on strengthening application and data security. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience, work closely with development teams, and help shape secure development practices from the ground up.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform application security testing with a focus on protecting sensitive data
- Identify, analyze, and prioritize security vulnerabilities
- Monitor applications for newly discovered threats and vulnerabilities
- Partner with development teams to improve application security posture
- Educate developers on secure coding practices and security best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including engineers, architects, and leadership
- Communicate security risks, findings, and progress to key stakeholders
- What You Bring
- Foundational knowledge of application development (strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with Java and RESTful services
- Understanding of common security frameworks and vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP, CVEs)
- Experience with or interest in learning tools like Splunk
- Comfortable working in modern development environments (IDEs, version control, etc.)Strong communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, Security, or a related field
