Assistant Manager, Transportation OperationsLocation: Miami, FL (Onsite - 5 days/week)Salary: $65,000 - $80,000Overview:A growing logistics-focused organization is seeking an Assistant Manager of Transportation Operations to support daily dispatch activities and coordinate freight movement through third-party carriers and independent contractors. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient scheduling, order accuracy, and strong communication across internal teams and external partners.Key Responsibilities:Oversee day-to-day dispatch operations and support dispatch staffCoordinate and schedule deliveries for internal and external customersReview and validate orders against operational requirementsCommunicate with third-party carriers and independent contractorsAssist with daily operational planning and executionMonitor and report safety concerns; participate in safety meetingsMaintain strong relationships with vendors and customersSupport onboarding and management of carrier partnersAct as a liaison between operations, vendors, and customersQualifications:Experience in trucking, logistics, or transportation operations 7+ years of experienceStrong organizational and communication skillsExperience with dispatching, routing, or fleet coordinationAbility to work onsite full-timeSpanish fluency requiredAscendo is a certified minority owned staffing firm, and we welcome and celebrate diversity.
