Repair Weld Operator 1st Shift - Assembly

About The RoleWe are seeking Repair Weld Operators for our new and growing Tier 1 supply company in Dalton, GA!The right candidate will be an energetic team player who is interested in becoming an expert and growing within our company for a long term and satisfying career. We are a multicultural organization that is growing and looking for people who want to be part of our team.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform manual weld repairs on assemblies.Operate and manage robotic laser and assembly cells.Support additional production activities as needed before full production ramp-up, including:Assisting fabricationProduction tooling supportWorking with maintenance when requiredBuilding wraps and racksRunning assembly cells, lasers, and off‑stacking for the pressMaintain flexibility in daily tasks based on production priorities.Train future Repair Weld Operators as the department grows.Quick quality checkQuality control documentation and implementationTransport materials throughout the plantAssist changing the welding devicesMaintain cleanliness on laser machine and work areaRequired QualificationsWelding degree from an accredited institution.Successfully complete and pass two welding qualification tests:Visual welding testCut and etch testRecent welding experience (must have held a welding-related job within the last year).Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and within a team.Must be flexible.Willingness to assist other departments and adapt to shifting workloads.Physical RequirementsWork is performed in a typical manufacturing environment.Requires frequent visual focus and sustained attention.Ability to move throughout the plant, including upper‑level areas.Must be able to distinguish colors for repair tasks.Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.Are You Ready?We look forward to receiving your application and learning more about what you can bring to the GEDIA Georgia team.No agencies, please.Are You Ready?No agencies please.
