The Company is seeking a Metrology & Calibration Specialist in Seattle, WA. As a calibration technician, you will calibrate and certify various measurement and test equipment and support development of procedures for test equipment. The company works with diverse metrology parameters such as precision dimensional and optical, precision mass, temperature-humidity, pressure, flow and force. You will tackle new and challenging problems every day and support military and commercial programs including 777X, 737MAX, 787, P-8, Tanker, and others.This role is responsible for providing products and services that meet the highest technical and quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies and processes, and for embracing first-time quality as a way of life—avoiding, correcting, or preventing any defects and speaking up.ResponsibilitiesSupports and plans activities to conduct and document tests on measurement and test equipment.Coordinates test requirements, determines test methods and capabilities.Conducts routine tests, analyzes data, and documents results.Maintains test procedure revisions and updates.Troubleshoots and resolves laboratory and test-related problems.Works under general direction.Required Skills3 or more years of calibration and certification work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience with flow, pressure, linear measurements, temperature/humidity, electrical or other physical metrology processes.Preferred SkillsExperience with electrical calibration/certification.Certified Calibration Technician (CCT).Experience in the aerospace industry.PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory) experience.Experience with LabVIEW, C++, and Access.Experience writing and configuring automated software and hardware tests.AA degree in a related discipline and typically one or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.BenefitsComprehensive healthcare coverage.Paid time off.Retirement savings plans.CTS Pays For Referrals!
