Gerding Enterprises, Inc. is a well-established job shop located in Dittmer, MO. We are looking to add a CNC programmer to our team. We provide a clean and climate-controlled environment for our employees. We currently work Monday – Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm some overtime may be required. We offer Health & Life insurance, AFLAC and a 401K program with a company match.
As a CNC Programmer you will be responsible for developing software programs that direct CNC machines to cut and shape metal to produce custom components for our customers. Using 3-dimensional computer designs and/or blueprints that define the configuration of the required component, CNC programmers can use CAM software programs to generate the program code that guides CNC machines to perform machining operations which result in precise finished components – efficiently and safely.
The Candidate must have:
Master-Cam Experience
Can read and understand G & M codes
Able to do set-ups and run CNC Machines
Ability to read and interpret Mechanical documents and drawings
Understanding of order schedules and job packets
Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions
Detail and Quality-oriented
Team Player
Duties and Responsibilities:
Program, prepare and operate CNC machines to preform tasks
Translate instructions into computer commands so the machine can perform the correct function
Review CAD models and/or blueprints
Define the best sequence of machining steps
Decide tools, speeds feeds and fixtures to be used
Improve program code to increase efficiency, quality and safety.
