MMW Intake Coordinator

Bridgeway Community Health is currently seeking qualifiedMMW Intake Coordinator for night shiftfor our growing Medically Managed Withdrawal (MMW) Program!Come join our growing team where you will work alongside those who are passionate about seeing lives changed and relationships restored! We are hiring staff to provide care for our clients.Primary PurposeSchedules and maintains maximum utilization of available program space. This position is the connection between clients in our community seeking help with detox services and placement into available program beds.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesManages all requests for program servicesScreens potential Medically Managed Withdrawal patients via phone or in personConducts updated screenings of clients who are waiting for servicesSchedules clients for services, placing them into available bedsCommunicates with medical staff to ensure proper placement of clients into servicesConstantly monitors the admissions and discharge of clients in the program to maximize program bed space usageMaintains call logs of all clients who contact us for services or who we contact to follow up for requested servicesProvides referrals or resource information to clients who do not meet program criteriaWorks with clients to find alternative services if our program is not appropriate or available Assists clients who do not have current insurance and need to complete the registration processConducts the client admissions and discharges into the programProvides each client admitted with appropriate information and program orientationInventories personal items and propertyAcclimates the patients to the facility and their roomAssists with the maintenance of a therapeutic milieuGives and/or receives verbal and written shift reportProvides support to patients in maintaining a calm, quiet environment by utilizing verbal de-escalation skillsOffers emotional support and alternative coping strategies; boundary setting for and with patientsConducts patient count during scheduled intervals of shiftReports and documents incidents as described in policies and proceduresAttends staff meetings and works as a team member to identify and implement quality of servicesWorks closely with the Transition Support Specialist to arrange transportation and appropriate referralsProvides support to staffFills intake shifts when neededOther Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssists with groups as requestedPerforms other duties as assignedAssists with hygiene support (e.g., showers) when necessarySanitizes mattresses, makes beds, and cleans bed stands during scheduled intervals of shiftMinimum Qualifications And ExperienceExperience, Education, and CredentialsTypically requires a High School Diploma or General Education Certificate (GED)Must be CPR/First Aid certified or become certified within two weeks of hire dateIn addition to a high school level education, the qualified candidate will generally be enrolled in a college-level degree program and be working towards gaining certification in a Human Services-related fieldKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesMust have the ability to display a non-judgmental attitude and desire to relate effectively with the chemically dependent person as they detoxExcellent interpersonal communication skills and time management skills required to work effectivelyAbility to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing, manage time and meet deadlines, and understand and follow oral and written instructions required.Qualified candidate must be able to pass a criminal background checkBenefitsPaid HolidaysMedical, Vision, and Dental Coverage5% employer match 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan (Pre & Post-Tax Options)Corporate Fitness Membership subsidyEmployer-Sponsored Life, Accidental Death, Critical Illness, Long-Term Disability CoverageGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO) PlanHealth Savings AccountsFlexible Spending AccountsInternal Growth OpportunitiesCompensationWage will depend on experience and credentials.
