Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
Lead structural design efforts for ports, maritime, and waterfront infrastructure projects from planning through construction.
Design and oversee marine structures including piers, wharves, bulkheads, fender systems, and related waterfront facilities.
Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and multidisciplinary coordination throughout project execution.
Support field investigations, construction administration, inspections, and resolution of engineering challenges during construction.
Build client relationships, support proposal development, contribute to business growth initiatives, and mentor junior engineers.
Qualifications
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related engineering discipline
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience
Experience supporting ports, maritime, waterfront, shoreline, or marine infrastructure projects
Experience designing marine structures such as piers, wharves, bulkheads, fender systems, berthing structures, or similar waterfront facilities
Knowledge of structural design codes and standards including IBC, AISC, ACI, and ASCE 7
Ability to travel as needed
Nice to Have
10+ years of structural engineering experience
Project management or project leadership experience
Experience supporting commercial ports, marine terminals, cargo-handling facilities, or waterfront transportation infrastructure
Experience with in-water structural projects
Experience working on docks, vessel berthing facilities, mooring dolphins, shoreline improvements, or related marine infrastructure
EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project delivery experience
Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline
Competitive salary: $125,000 - $175,000 base salary
