Apply via Dice today!Job Title: SAP ABAP LeadPrimary Skills: SAP ABAP, AMSDuration: 12 monthsLocation: Mundelein, ILRequirement Details:Description:This is Hybrid role in Mundelein, IL (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) AMS Delivery & Operations Lead SAP ABAP AMS delivery, ensuring SLA compliance and high-quality technical support. Manage incident, problem, change, and release management activities aligned with ITIL standards. Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring technical issues. Ensure stability and performance of SAP custom developments (WRICEF objects) across the landscape. Collaborate with offshore ABAP team for seamless service delivery. Transition Management (as Receiver) Act as the primary onsite ABAP lead during AMS transition, ensuring complete knowledge transfer from incumbent teams. Validate and document existing custom developments, interfaces, enhancements, and technical configurations. Identify gaps, technical debt, risks, and dependencies in the incoming scope Drive stabilization phase and ensure smooth transition into steady-state support. Technical Expertise Provide advanced development and support across:WRICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows)CDS Views, AMDP, and HANA-based developmentEnhancements (User Exits, BADIs, Implicit/Explicit Enhancements)Forms (SmartForms / Adobe Forms) Strong experience in SAP Integration technologies:IDocs, BAPIs, RFCsOData services / SAP GatewayAPIs and third-party system integrations Demonstrate technical understanding of SAP PP and SAP EWM modules from an ABAP integration perspective, including:Enhancements and user exits/BAdIs related to PP and EWM processesIDoc and interface processing for production and warehouse data flowsDebugging and troubleshooting of PP/EWM related technical issuesData extraction, conversions, and integration touchpoints with PP/EWM transactions Ensure performance optimization, code quality, and adherence to SAP best practices. Deliver minor enhancements, bug fixes, and continuous technical improvements.
