HVAC/Mechanical Inspector

HVAC/Mechanical Inspector Position Summary The HVAC / Mechanical Inspector will provide construction inspection and technical oversight for existing dehumidification plant removal, new dehumidification system installation, associated piping and main cable sleeves, as well as future fire standpipe installation and commissioning. The role supports the Project Management Consultant (PMC) team and is focused on quality assurance and contract compliance. Key Responsibilities Inspect removal of existing and installation of new dehumidification plant equipment Inspect mechanical piping, supports, penetrations, and main cable sleeves Verify compliance with contract documents, approved submittals, and manufacturer requirements Inspect fire standpipe system installation and commissioning Perform field inspections, prepare daily reports, and document deficiencies Coordinate with contractor staff and PMC staff (Chief Inspector, ARE, RE) Qualifications Background in HVAC, mechanical, or fire protection systems Experience inspecting mechanical and piping systems on industrial or infrastructure projects Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and submittals Familiarity with dehumidification and/or fire standpipe systems OSHA 30 (or ability to obtain)
